The rainy route: rainforests, canals and lagoons. It starts with Andasibe and the unforgettable cry of the indri at dawn, glides along the Pangalanes canal to the leafy palace of Akanin’ny Nofy, and ends with four nights facing the Sainte Marie lagoon.
From July to September, humpback whales cruise off the island — a show best watched from the beach.
